FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does your pricing compare with respect to your competition?

Trumbull goes to great lengths to ensure that our pricing is at or below the respective market in order to permit prospective clients to make decisions based on the value of our services, experience, expertise and technological advantages.

Are you willing to enter into flexible compensation arrangements?

Yes. Trumbull is willing to enter into a variety of compensation arrangements.

How does your claim management system differ from the competition?

BCMS (Bankruptcy Claims Management Software) is sophisticated, robust, client-server claims management software utilizing an Oracle relational database management system. BCMS offers on-line, real-time remote access with powerful on-line query capabilities, detailed representation of claims, plan estimation and modeling, integrated imaging of supporting documentation, and unlimited reporting capabilities.

Is your system a mainframe or client/server application?

Trumbull's BCMS is a client server and web based application thereby improving usability, flexibility, and scalability as compared to mainframe systems. A major limitation of mainframe systems is that they do not easily support graphical user interfaces or remote access.

Do you provide online access to live data?

Yes. All clients are provided with online real time access to BCMS. We accomplish this through the use of our web application. Our web application has a public component, where basic information on each case and its claims is available to the general public. Additionally, we have a private web site where professionals can access more detailed claims information and additional system functionality. Both the public and private sites are directly accessing the BCMS data housed on our server, thereby eliminating the need for daily uploads to refresh data. One of the major benefits of remote access is that it affords you access to up to the minute data and the freedom to run reports at your leisure repeatedly without incurring any additional charges.

Do you provide access via the Internet? Yes. Our public site is accessible to anyone with a web browser. Our private site is secure and requires us to provide a user-id and password. Web access to our systems means that our clients and their professionals can easily access claims information and use powerful tools for manipulating the data without incurring the overhead of installing and maintaining software on their workstations. Our web application is available through extended hours so that information can be accessed at your convenience.

How many assignments of claims can your system record?

BCMS can record 9 separate owners.

How do you account for different claim statuses?

BCMS is preloaded with various standard claim statuses. However, the user has the ease and flexibility to define their own claim statuses with the click of a mouse.

How often do you refresh the data on a client's PC?

The need to refresh data is not an issue for Trumbull, due to the fact that you always have on-line access to the current data.

How do you ensure a high level of quality for data entry?

We have instituted various levels of checks and balances to ensure the integrity of our data. Our work flow process involves the use of bar coding and imaging thereby reducing the number of keystrokes required. All data is then put through a rigid review process by our bankruptcy analysts to ensure accuracy. Additionally, we have integrated quality standards and metrics into our workflow. The quality standards we have implemented exceed industry benchmarks.

How do we know if a report that we run off-site will be running on the latest data?

Unlike other systems, BCMS provides on-line access to live data. As such, reports will always run on the most current data thereby eliminating the likelihood of generating reports that provide the incorrect status of the case.

Do you utilize imaging of proof of claims and supporting documents?

Yes. Trumbull scans all proof of claims and supporting documents by using a link between BCMS and our imaging software. We docket each claim by viewing the image thereby making the docketing process more cost-efficient.

How do you make the imaged documents available to clients?

We offer access to scanned images in several formats, including on-line access through our Bankruptcy Claims Management Software, downloading of images from a secure web site, attaching of images to E-mail, saving images to a CD-ROM or disk, and loading images to your server.

What benefits are provided by imaging documents?

Trumbull’s imaging software linked with BCMS yields quick and immediate access, offers immediate cost/benefit justification (i.e. eliminates photocopying & shipping charges), increases productivity thereby reducing costs, renders superior document management support, and provides access to all documents without impacting office space.

What type of disaster plans do you have in place?

Trumbull has established a well thought out business interruption contingency plan to maintain the security and integrity of our client’s data by ensuring the backup and recoverability of all data and processing environments in a timely manner. Data is backed up daily to tapes and is stored in a secure off-site tape vault facility as well as a media fire-proof safe as a secondary source.

What exactly do your service offerings include in addition to administrative functions?

Trumbull has the resources, operations, and affiliations to perform every function from terminal funding of a defined benefit plan, to claims consulting to disbursements. In addition to the main stay of claims agent services including noticing, schedule preparation, claims docketing, document management, claims consulting, solicitation, and plan distributions we offer corporate risk options by combining traditional insurance and self funding arrangements to help manage liabilities.
